CSA: Cameroonian Students

The Cameroonian Students' Association (CSA) is an apolitical not-for-profit organization registered at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under registration number 34301876. The association was founded in April 2007 on the simple premise of "being your brother's keeper". CSA aims at assembling all Cameroonian students and ex-students presently residing in the Netherlands under one umbrella so as to 'stand and walk' together for a brighter future.

The CSA plays a primary role in helping Cameroonian students make the decisions that shape their lives. Our mission is to: - assist Cameroonian students and ex-students living, studying, and/or working in The Netherlands, in as much as we can, at all times; - assist prospective students back home, wishing to study in the Netherlands, in finding schools and scholarships, and to help them explore a variety of valuable opportunities; - assist new students and other fellow cameroonians on arrival by: •meeting & welcoming them on arrival at main airports in The Netherlands (on appointment only, and free of charge); •helping them find a suitable temporary accomodation; and •giving them hints and tips on how to go about things. - assist and empower our brothers and sisters back in Cameroon to acquire the same or similar opportunities as we do in our host country, and to give them the chance and opportunity to make the decisions that shape their future.

Excellent example for African students in the Diaspora
Comment On Oct-25-2010 by Yvonne
This website is excellent! It is well-equiped with relevant information in English regarding tourism and education in a country where French dominates unnecessarily to the disadvantage of the general public.

I think the example of the Cameroonian students in Holland should be followed by other Africans living and studying abroad.
